Rainbow Zebra- how to do the zebra print

Whew, I finally got this one edited and uploaded! Here's the second half of the rainbow zebra tutorial... Hopefully it makes sense!

I love the metallic sparkle of the left nail. It's sponged over silver, as opposed to the right which is over white.

I love zebras. They're cute!

  1. Laynie - could you reiterate the black paint that you used in this video? Is it an acrylic?

    1. Yep! It's acrylic paint. The brand really isn't all that important, but I'm using Liquitex paint because I have basically all the primary colors in Liquitex paint. That way I can mix my own colors. :D

  2. Hello I loved your tutorial. If the gradient is not dark enough after the first time you use the sponge can you use the same technique and the same sponge again to get it darker or do you use a new sponge and do it again? Thanks..

    1. Absolutely! On my nails, I did two or three passes to intensify the color. I wanted a bright rainbow, instead of soft color. Just try and line it up as well as you can. The gradient also gets a bit more blended with each additional layer.
