So today, I get a press release in my email titled Kardashian Wears Nothing But Deborah Lippmann. I think to myself, "Cool, I wish I were rich enough to only wear Deborah Lippmann nail polish... but what about all those other awesome colors..."
(I'm putting a jump in this post because there is a not safe for work photo of Kim Kardashian and her naked bits. I figure if I had to get the shock, I may as well share it with all of you. If you don't want to see Kim Kardashian naked, then don't click the jump.
I'm serious. There are nipples under the jump. Don't act surprised when you get there and see... well. Yea. Nipples.)
I click the email, and am taken aback. There in all her glory is Kim Kardashian naked, covered in silver body paint, with her nipples staring back at me like big silver eyes. (It was sort of creepy, really... they follow you around the room- try it!) And for the life of me, I couldn't figure out just why the press folks decided to send this picture in particular, with Kim K. all nudie and nipply and out there. If you look closely, you'll notice you can't see her nails in the picture.
Seriously. Look at her hands. They're down from the boobs. Yes, I promise there are hands in this picture... If this press release is intended to draw attention to the nail polish, wouldn't it make sense to have fewer nipples and more nails? But hey, maybe it's just me... maybe nekkid Kim Kardashian will get more views for the polish.
It's a gorgeous polish, by the way. I'm very strongly tempted to get it, just to review it for the blog. (It's purely for you guys, it has absolutely nothing at all to do with my almost obsessive love for all things glittery. I'd totally do it for y'all!) Cant you see it on my nails now?
The press release has this to say about it:
The ever so stylish Kim Kardashian wowed us once again by wearing nothing but Deborah Lippmann polish in the November issue of W Magazine. Kim wore two coats of Today Was A Fairytale on her nails to match her metallic silver body paint. Today Was A Fairytale is the newest holiday glitter shade from the Deborah Lippmann Collection. It is a shimmering silvery-blue infused with Virgin Diamond Powder and brilliant silver sequins and is the perfect accessory to any look this holiday season. This celebrity favorite can be purchased at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York and online at www.deborahlippmann.com.Diamonds, huh? Funny, all I can see are boobs. :D

The perfect accessory to any look, including body paint. It did catch your eye, though, and got you to mention the brand here. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my. :D
ReplyDeleteIM TOO YOUNG D:
ReplyDeleteHaha ha ha hahahaha ha ha ha, OMG I think I burst something, your post is awesome funny!
ReplyDeleteYou placed it after the "jump" but alas, I stumbled onto another bloggers site and there it was in it's full glory at work.
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say, I was X-ing it out as fast as I could.
Karen- It did indeed, and it's a gorgeous photo. The whole set is beautiful, really. I just think it's funny that a photo used for a press release about a nail polish doesn't have that nail polish anywhere to be seen!
ReplyDeleteZara- uhhuh! *laughs*
AnnKiins'♥- EEE! Ah well, they're just boobs, right? :D
Anita- Thank you! That's my whole goal, really... to bring a giggle to people's lives!
kittypolishnbags- Oh NO! I'm sorry, I thought it would be hidden. Wait, was it my picture that was out there or someone else's? I know how frustrating it is to have something you think is work-friendly suddenly put up something that isn't. I try to keep Layniefingers safe for viewing!
